I’ve had a blast being a featured blogger on BoardingArea the past couple weeks, but all good things must come to an end. I’ll be heading back to the Prior2Boarding site, but you can still keep up with all the latest updates by following me on Twitter, Facebook, RSS, (or by using the buttons on the right-hand side) and feel free to drop me an email anytime!

To wrap things up, in case you missed it here’s a summary of the top posts from the past week:

1. I give you 10 reasons to seriously look into Korean Air’s Skypass frequent flyer program.

2. A head-to-head comparison of two aspirational destinations to use your points and miles – Maldives vs. the Seychelles.

3. Isn’t it a great feeling when all your points and miles strategies fall perfectly into place? That was the case for me, where I scored $2,500 in hotel rooms in Japan for just $95.

4. Rumor has it that Cathay Pacific will be adding service to Barcelona and Mexico City in late-2015. Service to Chicago is getting cut starting in March 2015.

5. Here’s a new idea – getting sick can actually help you vacation. What!? Everybody spends money on health care, and here are a couple tips to maximize the points you earn from that spend.

6. Catch-up on two trip reports – “Hawaii Six-O” detailing a recent trip to Oahu, Hawaii to celebrate my parents’ 60th birthdays and retirements and “Spain-giving 2014” detailing a recent trip to Barcelona over Thanksgiving weekend.

7. Alaska Airlines is the best frequent flyer program out there today, and once again will be sending Elite Thank You Gifts to its MVP Gold and 75K elite members. Want to get a head start on elite status re-qualification? Jump in on a sale fare to Hawaii.

8. Emirates is running a fun contest in San Francisco to celebrate the launch of its daily A380 service to Dubai.

9. Speaking of contests, the Hungry for Points mega-giveaway was a huge success. I received hundreds of food recommendations from you all, and have put them into one easy-to-share map.
