Alaska Airlines Elite Thank You Gifts Are On The Way

From this thread on Flyertalk, it appears that Alaska Airlines has started sending the much-anticipated Elite Thank You Gifts to its MVP Gold and 75K members.

Many members received emails Friday morning with the news, and even some who didn’t were able to collect their gifts through the link in their accounts. To check if the link is there for you, on the left-hand side of the screen in the “My Account” section, you should see the “Elite Thank You Gift” link which will take you to the page where you can collect your gift.

Similar to last year, members are being given a choice between the three items below:

  • 2 Gold Guest Upgrades
  • 2 Board Room Day Passes
  • 2 GoGo All Day WiFi Passes

If you re-qualified for MVP Gold or 75K status, haven’t received an email, and don’t see the link in your profile, there’s no need to worry. Apparently there was a glitch in the processing of the member list, which will be corrected by Monday afternoon.

Last year, the elite gifts came before the New Year, so I had speculated that Alaska may have spent its marketing budget elsewhere. I’m glad to have been proved wrong, and once again Alaska goes above and beyond to make its elite members feel the love.

  1. Just one more example on why the AS mileage plan is the best program period. The Alaska MP is the winner of the JD Power award for best airline loyalty program. Maybe, that is the issue. UA and DL no longer believe in loyalty. A year ago, I could book DL one-way business class award travel on alaskaair.com. Now, skymiles members are finally able to book one-way award travel.
