Triple Points With Hilton For The Rest Of 2015
A new promotion from Hilton was just announced this week, which will allow you to earn double points for weekday stays and triple points for weekend stays starting September 1, 2015 and running through December 31, 2015. While many of these promotions are diluted based on specific hotels choosing to opt-out, the great news here is that ALL Hilton-family hotels will be included.
As always with promotions, make sure to register prior to your first stay using this link. A couple frequent questions that have come up are answered in the T&C’s:
What does Double and Triple Points mean?
For the Triple Your Trip promotion “Double Points” means you will receive a bonus equal to the number of Base Points earned on the average nightly folio for qualifying Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. “Triple Points” means you will receive a bonus equal to twice the number of Base Points earned on the average nightly folio for qualifying Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Bonus Points earned on Base Points do not count toward tier qualification. Please allow 6-8 weeks from completion of your stay for the Bonus Points to appear in your HHonors account.
If I check-in before September 1, 2015 or check-out after December 31, 2015, do I still earn credit for that stay?
Registered HHonors members will receive a bonus only for the nights of an eligible stay completed during the Promotion Period, regardless of a check-in date before the Promotion Period begins or a check-out date after the Promotion Period ends.
In other words, for stays that cross over between weekdays and weekends, you’ll receive 2X and 3X bonuses for each applicable night falling into those buckets. And if you check-in prior to September 1st, like I will be for an upcoming trip, you’ll only receive bonus points for the nights after the start date of the promotion.
And lastly, many people (including myself) have been receiving an additional bonus offer of 2,000-4,000 points after the first stay during the promotion period. There doesn’t appear to be any rhyme or reason on the additional bonus offer, as some Gold/Diamond elite members have reported receiving have reported receiving nothing at all, and some general members have reported receiving everything from nothing to 4,000 points.
What is your elite status with Hilton and what additional bonus offer did you receive?
