Alaska Airlines Adding New Routes To Costa Rica!
Earlier this week, Alaska Airlines announced the addition of 3 domestics routes between Seattle and Nashville, Charleston, and Raleigh. They didn’t waste any time coming back with more news, and announced today the opening of 2 new routes from Los Angeles to Costa Rica!
While the route will span 2 cities within Costa Rica, San Jose and Liberia, it’s basically a 1x daily flight as service will alternate between the cities throughout the week. There will be dual flights to both cities on Saturday, for a total of 8 flights per week.
Here’s the full schedule below, beginning May 21, 2015 and pending final approval from the Costa Rican civil aviation authorities:
For those not located in Los Angeles, the morning departure times aren’t ideal and may require an overnight connection.
While I personally don’t have much interest in the new domestic routes, the new routes to Costa Rica are a really cool addition as I was just in the middle of planning a trip later this year. The flights are not bookable yet online, so it will be interesting to see what the prices are and if any double mile promotions are offered as well.
